Welcome to Runes (“Runes”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Runes website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Account & Wallet Responsibility
Runes supports both web2 sign-in (email / Google via Privy, with an embedded Ronin wallet) and direct Web3 wallet connections (Ronin, MetaMask). You are solely responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and your wallet private keys. Runes cannot recover lost wallet keys or reverse transactions executed by your wallet.
3. NFTs & On-Chain Transactions
Cards, card packs, board backgrounds, and card skins on Runes are non-fungible tokens (NFTs) minted on the Ronin blockchain. Once an NFT is minted to a wallet address, the transaction is recorded immutably on-chain and cannot be reversed, modified, or refunded at the protocol level. You acknowledge that Runes does not custody your NFTs after mint and has no ability to alter on-chain records.

The Runes name, logo, and original game content are owned by Runes. Card skin art submitted by creators remains the property of the creator, subject to the license required for the Service to display and distribute the art on-chain and in-game.
6. Region Restrictions
In compliance with U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, credit-card / email sign-in via Privy is not available to users located in comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and Ukraine. Users in these regions may still connect a Web3 wallet to play, but cannot make purchases through Stripe. We use IP-based geolocation to enforce this restriction.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Runes does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the value of any NFT will be maintained.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Runes will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including loss of NFTs, loss of value, blockchain network outages, or wallet compromise.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
This section governs refunds and cancellations for all purchases made through Runes, including credit card payments processed by Stripe and on-chain (RON) purchases.
All NFT sales are final
Card packs and card skins minted to a buyer's wallet — whether purchased with a credit card via Stripe or on-chain with RON — are non-refundable. The underlying token transfer is recorded immutably on the Ronin blockchain and cannot be reversed by Runes.
No cancellations after fulfillment
A purchase is considered “fulfilled” the moment the on-chain mint transaction confirms. Buyers may not cancel a purchase after fulfillment. For credit-card purchases, the typical time between payment authorization and on-chain fulfillment is under one minute.
Fulfillment failure exception (full refund)
If your credit-card payment via Stripe succeeds but the on-chain fulfillment fails after our system's automatic retry attempts, Runes will issue a full refund to the original payment method within ten (10) business days. You can track the status of any purchase by signing in and visiting your account, or by contacting support with your purchase reference.

Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer, you must first contact Runes support to give us an opportunity to resolve the issue. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in the suspension of your account and refusal of future service.
Region restrictions
Runes does not process credit-card payments from users located in OFAC-comprehensively-sanctioned jurisdictions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and Ukraine). Attempted purchases from these regions are blocked at the payment-intent step.
